Rob Biggin Coach & MentorRob Biggin (the rainmaker's coach)

Rob has been in the business of selling and marketing of products and services for over 30 years. He spent over 24 years at Hewlett Packard and was promoted through the sales and marketing ranks to become the UK category Managing Director for Healthcare Solutions. He then moved into a pan-European role as Director of Marketing for the Multi $Bn Services business.

In 2001 he formed Rainmaker Coaching to bring his particular brand of coaching, people development and business development to the UK marketplace. He carried out the bulk of the interviews with the existing rainmakers to find out their secrets and ensure their knowledge was shared with others.
 
He individually selects each of the coaches that work for Rainmaker Coaching and ensures that they all maintain the high standards the clients demand of them.

 

Kate Burton

Kate’s business experience lies in enabling people to communicate clearly and with confidence – which in turn delivers results in corporate performance. 

She managed corporate advertising and marketing campaigns with Hewlett-Packard. Over the last twenty-five years, she has consulted on communication and change with organisations across industries and cultures – corporations such as KPMG, GlaxoSmithKline, SwissRe and Waitrose, as well as leaders in the public sector, SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Her recent book on communication excellence ‘Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) for Dummies’ is the top selling book on NLP. ‘Building Self-Confidence for Dummies’ was further launched in January 2006.
 

 
 
Kevin Howes

Kevin has more than 25 years delivering bottom-line results in blue-chip companies and SMEs. Much of his experience and successes have been in the financial services, IT, telecommunications, automotive and pharmaceutical sectors.
 
His clients tell him they like his informal, practical, straight-talking approach and his knack of quickly pinpointing where performance can be improved. Happy to roll-up his sleeves and get dirt under his fingernails and build enduring relationships at all levels based on mutual trust, personal credibility and a passion for achieving agreed results.

Lynne Copp

Lynne is Managing Director of The Worklife Company. She is in business to support clients to create great places to work. She achieves this through her consulting, research, training, communication and coaching. Her experience and passion for what she does, creates motivation and change in others. She is empowering, creative and innovative and a very well regarded coach and keynote speaker. She has appeared on the BBC Money programme, BBC Radio and is retained by many organisations as a regular speaker at events.
 
Lynne coaches leaders, managers and employees in the large and corporate business sector – both private and public. She supports people to personally develop, to manage their work and life, manage their workload, improve their wellbeing, develop their communication skills and deal with personal issues related to work or relationships.

Chris Gamblin

Chris has been a Director and Senior Consultant for twelve years and has worked closely, and at senior level, with companies such as JCB, Mowlem, BAE Systems, and Vodafone.

He has worked with Government departments such as the MOD and in a variety of Housing Associations. Chris also partners with Manchester Business School and Liverpool University.
Chris was previously European HR Director for Northern Telecom, and UK (Sales) HR Director for Hewlett Packard. His experience is in Top Team alignment and Business Direction (Strategy Development). He is a specialist in leadership and culture development.
 

 Mike Meyer  

Mike advises businesses that sell technical products and professional services about solutions to their customer intelligence shortfalls. Mike has hands-on implementation, customisation and training experience with sales and CRM solutions including GoldMine and Sage CRM. He has a CRM specialist certification from Sage.

 

 
Paul Murray

Paul has over 25 years experience in the IT industry in a variety of different roles. He’s worked for global manufacturers, consultancies and resellers selling into multiple industries in both the Large Corporate
and SME sectors.
 
Paul is particularly good at team building, partnership development, change planning and execution. He employs a simple but powerful methodology to help teams and their leaders in all industries build and implement effective “breakthrough” plans. The process is particularly effective for new managers and directors assuming new roles but helps all leaders gain the buy-in and alignment of their teams – quickly.
 
He is a member of the Institute of Directors and regularly mentors and coaches business associates, former colleagues and employees from as long ago as 1980. He is a keen golfer, skier, football supporter and bridge enthusiast, has one son and lives with his girlfriend in Cheshire.

 John Gloster-Smith

John has been developing leaders in business for the last 15 years since he transformed his own career from being a senior manager in private-sector education. He’s been a management consultant to almost every business sector of international and FT 100 companies.
He’s worked at developing leaders, coaching one on one, and facilitating teams at all levels to board level, as well as organisational development. This has been supported by his own extensive investment in personal growth and in training in Gestalt and other process methodologies for personal and business transformation.

 
Allan James

During the last 25 years, Allan has delivered consulting and facilitation services to leaders and managers in a range of businesses in Hewlett-Packard. This has included the telecom, electronics, consulting and IT sectors as well as functional organisations such as HR, Supply Chain and Marketing. Prior to this he worked in the FMCG, Retailing, Telecom and Construction/ Civil Engineering industries.
 
In addition to experience as a manager and consultant in Hewlett-Packard, he has a Master of Science degree in Organisation Consulting and a Diploma in Management Studies. He takes a practical approach in working with clients and it is backed up by a sound knowledge of relevant theory.
Allan is married with two grown up daughters and is a practicing musician and digital photographer.

 
 
Tony Bulleid
 
Tony has an excellent track record spanning 25 years delivering top line and bottom-line results in blue-chip companies and SMEs, growing to levels such as, Managing Director, Vice President and Senior Vice President of EMEA.
 
Most of his experience and successes have been in the ICT, Defence and Video sectors with growth achieved through both direct and indirect channels as well as across diverse geographic regions and complex product lines.
Tony has developed particular skills in energising sales and marketing, operations and support which have led to achieving sustainable revenue growth and profitability.

 
Theresa Wilcox
 
Theresa Wilcox is a consultant with over 25 years experience of working with the senior managers of large multinational companies in Europe, Asia and the US. During this time she successfully developed and managed a range of strategic planning, process management and customer experience initiatives. Her extensive work experience is complemented by business qualifications which include an MBA with a specialism in strategic marketing.
 
Theresa has a close association with the British Quality Foundation and is an experienced assessor for the National Business Excellence Awards.
 
Theresa’s experience lies in the following areas:
 
  • Helping organisations to translate strategies into action and building effective measurement systems to enable organisations to manage performance in line with strategic goals.
  • Defining and implementing customer loyalty programmes including the development of measurement systems to allow organisations to gain and act upon insight from their customers.
  • Design and development of programmes aimed at ensuring cultural alignment to strategic direction.
  • Improving Quality Management System Maturity. This includes conducting assessments, facilitating self assessment against the European Excellence Model and providing for compliance to ISO standards.

Amanda Cahalane
 
Amanda has a health care background gained as a nurse followed by 13 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry where she built, coached and lead a series of teams. She has worked for a number of global pharmaceutical companies and most recently she headed a large global department within drug development for Hoffman La Roche.
 
Her experience and successes have been in the areas of leadership, team and staff development, regulatory compliance, process improvement and running regulatory inspection teams. She has a belief that learning should be fun and has a passion for people and creativity. One of her fundamental beliefs is that people can achieve their wildest dreams, when they know what they are!
 
She sees the potential in others and enjoys working alongside individuals and teams helping them develop and achieve their goals through individual coaching, facilitation, team workshops, psychometric profiling and NLP.
 
 
  

Bella Mehta

An executive and career coach with a strong track record in business as well as a highly skilled facilitator of individual and team change. An engaging speaker on equality and diversity issues, as well as the co-author of a best-selling business handbook, Bella appears often as a business commentator on television and radio.

Bella has a Diploma in Advanced Change Management, Facilitation and Coaching from the Institute for the Development of Human Potential and trained in Transactional Analysis Counselling at the Metanoia Institute. Prior to launching her own company, she was a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting and a Project Manager for BBC News.

Peter Miller-Smith

Peter’s many years of experience running businesses and leading teams in the UK, Europe, and USA have shown him time and again what is possible when the best are encouraged to excel. He brings commercial awareness, challenge, and incisiveness, and a well-tried and proven approach.

Peter spent much of his career as an executive with 3M Corporation, with nine years in Brussels, the USA and The Netherlands running a number of different businesses.
